The Angel

Running since 1761, The Angel is a well established, popular Dog Friendly Restaurants within Poole’s historic Old Town and they pride themselves on their freshly cooked food, friendly staff and is incredibly welcoming to both humans and dogs! 

We can guarantee your pup’s experience will be just as good as yours, with plenty of water bowls and dog treats both inside and out (except on the carpet). If you like your beer, this is a must as they’re the only pub in Old Town to supply Ringwood Ale!

The Crown Hotel

Dogs are welcome in the bar and some of the guest rooms of The Crown at the manager’s discretion. That being said, dog’s aren’t permitted on Friday and Saturday nights, although given how popular it is that seems sensible!

The food here is vibrant and fresh and looks like a work of art, plus the staff are some of the friendliest in town.

The Yachtsman

The Yachtsman is a proudly Dog Friendly Restaurants in Poole, “as every great pub should be”, and they even have their own pub dog Stanley. It’s also less than ten minutes walk from the dog-friendly beach in front of Hamworthy Park.

This clean and bright village pub is perfect for cozying up after a day at the seaside, with plenty of homely food to fill your belly and a roaring fire to warm your cockles. There’s also a great big garden with a patio and play equipment, just in case your kids still have energy to burn or you’re desperate to soak up the last of the summer sun.

The Jolly Sailor

You’re sure to be merry after a trip to The Jolly Sailor, with its wide range of drinks, fabulous harbourside views, and superb atmosphere and staff. It’s a Greene King venue so you can expect the usual broad and varied range of scoffable snacks and pub classics, with something to suit every taste.

Although a traditional high-street pub it’s very much a family and Dog Friendly Restaurants with a warm welcome for every human and hound through the doors.

The King Charles

Onto another royally-monickered pub now, The King Charles is around the corner and just off the quayside. This traditional pub is terrifically rustic inside and supposedly haunted, but the only spirits we sniffed out are the massive selection behind the bar!

Humans and hounds of all ages are welcome inside and in the garden for a pint and pub grub, but pups should be kept on a lead.

The Grasshopper

The Grasshopper is a stylish wood-panelled pub and restaurant that looks and feels cool and contemporary but has plenty of characterful details dotted around, including a fire made from the copper kettles once used in a brewery.

It makes the most of their waterside location, with lovely views across the harbour and a distinctly nautical interior with so much wood surrounding you, you might feel like you’ve been taken below deck of an old ship!

Dogs are always welcome into this delightful pub and they’re just as looked after by the attentive staff, who usually give out a few free biscuits or a bit of chopped carrot to keep the puppy patrons as happy as the people.

Brewhouse & Kitchen

The Brewhouse & Kitchen is another family and dog-friendly pub in Poole where people can bring their pooches into the garden or in the bar to “sit!”

It’s a haven for beer lovers, with over 70 different varieties of craft beer and cider to sip, including a few bevs brewed onsite.
